Sincona sale 6, lot 1937

This specimen was lot 1937 in Sincona sale 6 (Zürich, May 2012), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"PORTUGAL Maria I. und Pedro III. 1777-1786. 200 Reis 1778. Gekröntes Wappen zwischen Wertzahl und Jahreszahl. Rv. Kreuz von Jerusalem, in den Winkeln Blüten. Kl. Schrötlingsf. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (very fine.)"

This type is listed for 1778-85. Most of the dates are reasonably available but this one is rare.

Recorded mintage: 4,475.

Specification: 7.3 g, 0.917 fine silver, 30 mm diameter; this specimen is 7,07 g.
