This specimen was lot 1777 in Sincona sale 38 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$480 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"João V. 1706-1750 400 Reis 1718. Lissabon. Fast FDC. (kingdom of Portugal, John V, 1706-50, quartinho of 1718, Lisbon mint. About uncirculated.)"
This type is catalogued in the SCWC as a cruzado novo, worth 400 or 480 réis, depending on which side of the devaluation you stand. It was struck in Lisbon 1718-48 and all dates are much scarcer than the catalog indicates.
