Poland 1924 2 zlote
The first specimen was lot 71422 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. 2 Zloty, 1924. Philadelphia Mint. NGC MS-62. Just a light veneer of tone over soft satin luster." The second specimen was lot 4393 in Goldberg sale 104 (Los Angeles, June 2018), where it sold for $1,092. The catalog description[2] noted, "Poland. 2 Zlote, 1924. Struck at the Philadelphia mint. Tied for the highest graded. NGC graded MS-63. Collection of Foreign Coins Struck at United States Mints." This type was struck 1924-25 at Paris, Heaton, Philadelphia (shown here) and London. It is not rare but is seldom seen in nice condition. It was accompanied by a similar one zloty (KM Y15).
Recorded mintage: 800,000 plus 8,200,000 (Paris) plus 1,200,000 (Heaton).
