This specimen was lot 50251 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $822. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. 10 & 20 Zlotych, 1925. Fr-115-116; Y-32-33; Parchimowicz-125-126. Both pieces NGC MS-64." This one year type and the accompanying twenty zlotych are the only gold issues of the shortlived Republic of Poland (1918-39). The SCWC notes that none were released for circulation but some must have got out as they appear in auctions from time to time. This coin was struck to the standard of a French or Swiss gold ten francs.
