Steve Album sale 51, lot 1132

This specimen was lot 1132 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND: Republic, AR 2 zlote, London, 1925, superb luster, exceptional grade for this type, PCGS graded MS64, ex Almer H. Orr III Collection." This type was struck 1924-25 at Heaton, Paris, Philadelphia and London and was accompanied by a one złoty of similar design. It is common in lightly circulated condition. The dot after the date indicates London.

Recorded mintage: 11,000,000 plus 5,200,000 from Philadelphia.

Specifications: 10 g, 0.750 fine silver, 27 mm diameter, reeded edge.
