This specimen was lot 46869 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Piedmont-Subalpine Republic. 2 Soldi, AN 9 (1800-01). Turin Mint. PCGS AU-53." This rare piece is listed in the SCWC under the "Italian States--Piedmont Republic," a government as obscure as it was short-lived. As this puppet state was based in Turin, We have filed it under Sardinia.
