Philippines 2018 5 piso

The specimen shown is a steel five pesos of the new circulating type. This piece has a face value (October 2018) of about nine cents and was struck 2017-20. The obverse portrait is of Andres Bonifacio and the reverse shows a Jade vine (Strongylodon macrobotrys). The design was later revised to give it a nonagonal shape but the weight was unchanged.

Specification: 7.4 g, nickel plated steel, 25 mm diameter.
