The specimen shown is a steel one peso of the new circulating type. This piece has a face value (October 2018) of about two cents and was struck 2017-21. The obverse is the portrait is of José Rizal. The reverse depicts the waling-waling orchid (Vanda sanderiana).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 6 g, nickel plated steel, 23 mm diameter, segmented edge.
