Pfalz 1751-AK thaler Dav-2533
This specimen was lot 2263 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €2,800 (about US$3,965 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN · PFALZ, KURFÜRSTENTUM Karl Theodor, 1743-1799. Reichstaler Feinsilber 1751, Mannheim. Ausbeute der Wildberger Gruben. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, electorate of the Palatinate, Charles Theodore, 1743-99, fine silver thaler of 1751, Mannheim mint, for the Wild Mountain mine. Scarce in this condition, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
Another thaler honoring the same mine was issued in 1758 (Dav-2535).
