Pfalz-Veldenz 1673-BM 60 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 2612 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 550 CHF (about US$736 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Pfalz-Veldenz, Herzogtum, Leopold Ludwig zu Lützelstein, 1634-1694. 2/3 Taler (60 Kreuzer) 1673, Weinburg oder Lützelstein. Selten. Sehr schön (Weinburg or Lützelstein mint, Rare, Very fine)." This type was also struck in 1674. Wikipedia comments, "The grandson of Georg Hans, Leopold Ludwig von Lützelstein, died in 1694 as a poor man without legitimate offspring and the county-Palatinate of Veldenz, which was in ruins after many French attacks, reverted to the Zweibrücken line, specifically King of Sweden Charles XI, who ruled in personal union with the duchy of Palatine Zweibrücken."
