This specimen was lot 6058 in Goldberg sale 72 (Los Angeles, February 2013), where it sold for $115. The catalog description[1] noted, "Peru. 8 Reales, 1832-MM (Lima). Republic. Standing liberty. Lustrous. NGC graded AU-50. The Victor Jaramillo Collection." This type was struck at Lima and Cuzco 1830-36 and is rather common; the complete span of Peru standing liberty eight reales runs 1825-55. Assayer MM is recorded for 1831-35.
