This is an eight reales struck in Peru during the reign of Ferdinand VI (1746-1759). There are a host of varieties for this year reported by Gilboy[1], including and overdate, two styles of the digit 5, a normal (non-anagram) 'M' in the mintmark, and two assayer combinations. The pictured coin is a normal issue of the 'JM' assayer initials. It is listed by Gilboy[1] as scarce.
