This specimen was lot 49079 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. Cob 1/2 Real, 1718. Lima Mint. Philip V. PCGS VF-30." This type was struck 1701-28 and only the final date, 1728, has an assayer initial. The fineness was lowered from 0.931 to 0.917 in 1728.
