This copper-nickel ten centavos was struck for Paraguay in 1903. By 1903, silver coinage in Paraguay was a distant memory and coinage in general was scanty and irregular. This type is accompanied by a five and twenty centavos and no futher coins were emitted until 1908. The peso was dropped in favor of the guarani in 1944.
Recorded mintage: 1,200,000.
