This specimen is lot 1318 in Stack's Coin Galleries sale (New York, April 2010). The catalog description[1] noted, "VATICAN-PAPAL STATES. Clement XI, 1700-1721. Piastra, 1707, An. VII. Bust l. in camauro by Ermenegildo Hamerani. Rv. St. Clement in prayer before Lamb of God. DONA NOBIS PACEM, Grant Us Peace. Splendid strike, wealth of fine detail. A beautiful specimen which will be a lovely addition to any collection of world crowns. Choice Extremely Fine. From the Eliasberg Collection." This date is a one year type struck in 1707. The piastra was the Italian equivalent of the German thaler.
