This specimen was lot 75255 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Papal (States of the Church). Piastra, Year VI (1706). Rome Mint. Clement XI. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. Lightly cleaned as noted but nonetheless a pleasing large silver piece with a decidedly medallic look and feel." This is a rare type. The reverse features St. Peter in a boat, with two seraphim above.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 32.07 g, 0.917 fine silver. The SCWC lists the weight as 13.21 g, which is manifestly wrong.
