This specimen was lot 3203 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "PAPAL STATES: Benedict XIV, 1740-1758, AR grosso, year X (1749), a wonderful lustrous mint state example! PCGS graded MS64." The grosso was five baiocchi or one twentieth of a scudo. This type was struck one year only and is dated solely with the regnal year.
