Papal States (1722) grosso

This date is listed in the SCWC for 1721-23 for Innocent XIII (1721-24). Only the 1723 is dated, the other issues bear only regnal years. The grosso was five baiocchi or one twentieth of a scudo. Many varieties were issued in the 1720's.

Recorded mintage: unknown but rather scarce.

Specification: 1.49 g, silver, 0.917 fine.
