Panama 1982 1/10 balboa
This denomination was struck for circulation 1966-75, 1980-83, 1986 and 1993. It matches the United States dime in every respect and many dates were actually struck in the USA. This year was made in Philadelphia. This specimen was lot 30152 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $4,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "PANAMA. Gold 1/10 Balboa Piefort, 1982. NGC PROOF-66 Ultra Cameo. Mintage: 15. Presenting a staggering cameo nature, this Superb Gem also stands a VERY RARE offering in this format."

Specification: regular issue: 2.27 g, copper-nickel clad copper, 17.9 mm diameter, reeded edge. KM-P3: 0.400 fine gold.
