This specimen was lot 30887 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $1,527.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Overijssel. Silver Ducat 1764, MS63 NGC. A choice example of this large silver type with aged silvery-gray patina and abundant mint luster. Highly elusive when certified as Mint State." This type was struck throughout the eighteenth century until 1794. Of the Dutch mints, the Utrecht mint is still in operation, striking euros.

Recorded mintage: 250,465.

Specification: 28.25 g, 0.873 fine silver, .793 troy oz ASW.
