This specimen was lot 2530 in Jean Elsen sale 160 (Brussels, November 2024), where it sold for €440 (about US$557 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"NEDERLAND, OVERIJSSEL, Provincie, AR zilveren dukaat, 1735. Vz/ Staande ridder r. met zwaard en provinciewapen. Kz/ Gekroond Generaliteitswapen. Krasjes. Deuk aan de rand. goede Zeer Fraai. (Netherlands, province of Overijssel, silver ducat of 1735. Obverse: standing knight with sword and provincial arms; reverse: crowned arms of the Generality. Scratches, edge bump, good very fine.)"

This type was struck throughout the eighteenth century until 1794. This particular variety was struck 1734-47, 1764, 1767. Of the Dutch mints, the Utrecht mint is still in operation, striking euros.

Recorded mintage: unknown but fairly common.
