Ottingen in the late eighteenth century

This specimen was lot 1077 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €2,200 (about US$2,842 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ÖTTINGEN-WALLERSTEIN, GRAFSCHAFT, Wolfgang, Ignaz und Karl Anton, 1692-1708. Taler (90 Kreuzer) 1694, Augsburg. RR Sehr attraktives Exemplar mit hübscher Patina, kl. Zainende, vorzüglich. (Germany, county of Ottingen-Wallerstein, Wolfgang, Ignatius and Charles Anton, 1692-1708, thaler of 1694, Augsburg mint. Rare, very attractive example with toning, edge clip, extremely fine.)"

This scarce issue is five times the price of Dav-7136.
