This specimen was lot 14 in Schulman auction 389 (Amsterdam, December 2025), where it sold for €3,200 (about US$4,509 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Austria - Thaler 1779, Silver, ANTON THEODOR v. COLLOREDO 1777-1781, AUSTRIAN STATES, OLMUTZ Archbishop to right. Rev. Hatted, mitred and crowned arms divides date. Ex Cherry Tree Collection. PCGS AU55." This ecclesiastical state was in Moravia, then part of Austria, now the Czech Republic. This is the last thaler issued from this state in the eighteenth century. A thaler of 1820 (Dav-41) would close out the series.
