Olmutz 1709 15 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 3505 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 750 CHF (about US$1,131 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH Olmütz, Bistum, Karl III. von Lothringen, 1695-1711. 15 Kreuzer 1709, Kremsier. Selten. Sehr schön. (Austria, bishopric of Olmütz, Charles III of Lorraine, 1695-1711, fifteen kreuzer of 1709, Kremsier mint. Rare, Very Fine.)"
This type was struck 1706-11 and is a late issue of this denomination, which was terminated in 1716. Fifteen kreuzer was one-sixth of a reichs thaler. Olmütz, then in Moravia, is now Olomuoc in the Czech Republic.
