This specimen was lot 997 in Goldberg Sale 146 (Los Angeles, July 2025), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "Austria: Olmütz. 15 Kreuzer, 1691. Carl II of Liechtenstein-Castelcorn, 1664-1695. Pop 1, only one graded at PCGS. PCGS graded AU-58. The Augustana Collection." This fifteen kreuzer was struck 1687-94; earlier fifteen kreuzer were struck 1664, 1675-77 and 1679. At this time, the 15 kreuzer was one sixth thaler but would slip to one eighth thaler on the introduction of the convention thaler. This ecclesiastical state was in Moravia, then part of Austria, now the Czech Republic. For the seventeenth century, Olmütz minors are common but thalers and ducats are rare.
