Olmutz 1663 15 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 3455 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 750 CHF (about US$1,131 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH Olmütz, Bistum, Karl I. Josef, 1663-1664. 15 Kreuzer 1663, Vyskov. Selten. Sehr schön. Leicht gewellt. (Austria, bishopric of Olmütz, Charles Joseph, 1663-64, fifteen kreuzer of 1663, Vyskov mint. Rare, Very Fine, Slightly wavy flan.)"
Olmütz, then in Moravia, is now Olomuoc in the Czech Republic. This fifteen kreuzer was struck 1663-64 only and was worth 1/6 of a thaler. The Vyškov mint operated only 1659-1664.
Recorded mintage: unknown but very scarce.
