This specimen was lot 222 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 950 CHF (about US$1,261 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND | Nurnberg, City. Taler 1638. Mit Titel Ferdinands III. Mit dem Münzmeisterzeichen Kreuz (Georg Nürnberger der Ältere). Walzenprägung. Selten. Gutes sehr schön. (Germany, city of Nuremberg, thaler of 1638, struck in the name of Ferdinand III. Privy mark: cross. Rare, Good very fine.)"
