This specimen was lot 22615 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Nurnberg. Ducat, 1637. NGC AU-58. Date in chronogram. Although this type is not listed as rare, this is the first one we have offered and the first one to appear in a US auction since 2012 that we are aware of. The piece exhibits a slightly wavy flan with minor debris amongst the devices. A lightly toned example with a bold strike." This type was struck 1635-40, 1648, 1686.
