This specimen was lot 4454 in Goldberg sale 75 (Los Angeles, September 2013), where it sold for $2,875. The catalog description[1] noted, "Norway. Specie Daler, 1821-IGP. Charles XIV John, 1818-1844. Sharply struck with attractive toning and considerable original mint luster. Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated." This type was issued by Sweden for Norway 1819-24. Most dates are rare.
