This specimen was lot 1211 in Stack's Bowers sale of the L. E. Bruun Collection (Copenhagen, September 2024), where it sold for €45,600 (about US$50,534 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Lustrous and Appealing Speciedaler with Nearly-Choice Preservation, Better of Two Privately Owned Examples of the Type, NORWAY. Speciedaler, 1664. Christiania Mint. Frederik III. NGC MS-62. Mintmaster: Frederik Grüner (FG). Obverse engraved by Johan Blum. The better of what seems to be only two in private collections, this handsome and appealing Speciedaler delivers handsome brilliance, with nice details and limited instances of handling. Charming toning highlights the finer details, with some colorful punctuations at the rims. An altogether most pleasing and appealing crown-sized issue. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale - 1922)."

Single specie dalers struck in 1664 include KM 67/Dav-3617 (shown here), KM 70/Dav-3618 (laureate bust) and KM A57/Dav-3614. Double and triple specie dalers also exist for 1664.
