This specimen was lot 11035 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €384 (about US$400). The catalog description^[1] noted, NORWAY. 2 Mark, 1656. Christiania mint. Frederik III. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1649-62 and is scarce. One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.
