This specimen was lot 1188 in Stack's Bowers sale of the L. E. Bruun Collection (Copenhagen, September 2024), where it sold for €44,400 (about US$49,204 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Charming and Nearly Uncirculated Double Speciedaler, NORWAY. 2 Speciedaler, 1650. Christiania Mint. Frederik III. NGC AU-55. Mintmaster: Peter Grüner (PG). Engraver: Hans zum Busch. EXCESSIVELY RARE, this pleasing example is charmingly toned, with light goldenrod color throughout. Strike doubling is seen, particularly at the legends, but fails to obscure the designs. A pleasingly detailed example of this hefty and impressive type. Ex: Johan G. Guildal Collection (Private Sale - 1918); later published by the Danish Numismatic Society as item 1187 in his collection."
This double specie daler is noted for 1649-50 only. Numista reports that there are twelve known of this date.
