This specimen was lot 72464 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "NIGERIA. 50 Kobo, 1991. PCGS SPECIMEN-66 Gold Shield. This shimmering Gem offers intense brilliance and is exceeded in the PCGS census by just one example. Ex: Kings Norton Mint Collection." This one year type is one of a series comprising including one, ten, 25, fifty kobo and one naira.
