This specimen was lot 72465 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $95. The catalog description[1] noted, "NIGERIA. 10 Kobo, 1991. PCGS SPECIMEN-66 Red Gold Shield. Fully blazing and brilliant, this Gem presents vibrant red surfaces and stands with just four others at the top of PCGS's population report. Ex: Kings Norton Mint Collection." This one year type is one of a series comprising including one, ten, 25, fifty kobo and one naira.
