This specimen was lot 1680 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $329. The catalog description[1] noted, "NIGERIA: Elizabeth II, 1952-1963, 1 shilling, 1962, word TRIAL to right of portrait, only 5 examples known, PCGS graded Specimen-64, RRR, ex King's Norton Mint Collection." This specimen is valuable because it is a trial strike and so marked on the obverse. The regular issue of 1959-62 is common.
