This specimen was lot 1584 in Ponterio sale 173 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $5,581. The catalog description[1] noted, "NEW ZEALAND. Crown, 1935. PCGS PROOF-63 CAMEO. Treaty of Waitangi. Mintage of only 468 pieces. Sharply struck and very attractive." This low mintage coin has always been popular and expensive tho not difficult to obtain for those possessing the necessary spondulix.

Specification: 28.28 g, 0.500 fine silver, 38.8 mm diameter.
