This specimen was lot 1979 in Jean Elsen sale 149 (Brussels, December 2021), where it sold for €250 (about US$339 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, Koninkrijk, Beatrix (1980-2014), AV 10 euro, 2007. Michiel de Ruyter. In doosje. Gepolijste Stempel. (kingdom of the Netherlands, Beatrix, 1980-2014, gold ten euro of 2007, 400th anniversary of the birth of admiral de Ruyter. In capsule, Proof.)"
This denomination is used exclusively for commemoratives and is not legal tender outside the Netherlands. Wikipedia notes, "Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruyter (24 March 1607 – 29 April 1676) was a Dutch admiral. Widely celebrated and regarded as one of the most skilled admirals in history, De Ruyter is arguably most famous for his achievements with the Dutch Navy during the Anglo-Dutch Wars. He fought the English and French forces and scored several critical victories, with the Raid on the Medway being the most famous among them."
