This specimen was lot 330 in Schulman auction 385 (Amsterdam, July 2025), where it sold for €92.25 (about US$131 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"KONINKRIJK DER NEDERLANDEN - WILHELMINA 1890-1948, 1 Gulden, 1910 Hoofd naar links. Mt. mercuriusstaf. TYPE III (1910-1917). 'Hermelijnen mantel' door J. C. Wienecke. Mmt. zeepaard., Silver S. Zeer fraai. (kingdom of the Netherlands, Wilhelmina, 1890-1948, one gulden of 1910. Obverse: mantled bust left, by J. C. Wienecke. Mintmarks Mercury's staff and seahorse. Scarce, very fine.)"

This type, listed for 1910-17, superseded a similar type (KM 122.2) struck 1904-09 with a different hairstyle for the queen. Silver gulden were struck in the Netherlands until 1940 and for the government-in-exile at the Philadelphia mint 1944-45. Postwar issues were reduced weight. This type is common in worn condition but scarce nice.

Recorded mintage: 1,000,000 including reeded edge and proofs.

Specification: 10 g, 0.945 fine silver, .303 troy oz ASW, 28 mm diameter, edge lettered ★ GOD ★ ZY ★ MET ★ ONS, this specimen 9.94 g.

Catalog reference: KM 148, Sch-812.
