This specimen was lot 34413 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "Netherlands: Willem III Gulden 1856 MS64 PCGS. Currently the single finest certified by PCGS, with few entering into the Mint State level at all, a soft blue and rosaceous tone creating a singular appearance." This type was struck 1850-67 in substantial numbers. No one gulden coins were struck between 1867 and 1892. Curiously, while the half, one and 2½ gulden pieces were 0.945 fine silver, the five, ten and twenty-five cent issues were only 0.640 fine.
