This specimen was lot 1465 in Jean Elsen sale 115 (Brussels, December 2012) where it sold for €75 (about US$114 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BELGIQUE, Royaume des Pays-Bas, Guillaume Ier (1815-1830), AR 25 cents, 1825 B, Bruxelles. Légère trace d'emporte-pièce sur la tranche. Superbe. (kingdom of Belgium, William I (1815-30), silver twenty-five cents of 1825, Brussels mint. Rim bump, extremely fine.)"

This type was struck in Utrecht and Brussels 1817-30. The 1825-B is neither common nor rare. After Belgium obtained her independence in 1830, the mint continued striking for the new country until its closure in 2018.

Recorded mintage: 2,607,657 (502,172[2]).

Specification: 4.23 g, .569 fine silver, .077 troy oz ASW, 21 mm diameter.
