This is one of the more available dates of this generally scarce type struck 1818-37. It superseded the old gulden of the United Provinces with the Dutch maid leaning on a pillar. In 1840, the weight was reduced to 10 g to match the French two francs.

Recorded mintage: 1,096,250.

Specification: 10.77 g, .893 fine silver, .307 troy oz ASW, 30 mm diameter.
