This specimen was lot 1193 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $176.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "NASSAU: AR 3 kreuzer, 1844, PCGS graded MS66, ex Don Erickson Collection." The duke of Nassau issued substantial numbers of three kreuzer up until 1863. This type was struck 1841-48, 1853-55. In 1866, the duchy was swallowed up by Prussia and the coinage ended, tho one branch of the family now occupies the throne of the Netherlands.
