This specimen was lot 2686 in Goldberg sale 109 (Los Angeles, January 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Italian States: Naples. Tornese, 1840. Ferdinando II. NGC graded MS-64 Red & Brown." This type was struck 1832-48. This coin was worth 1/240 of a piastra; the denomination was struck 1817-59.
Recorded mintage: unknown but the most common date.
