Stack's Bowers September 2023 Collector's Choice sale, lot 75331

This specimen was lot 75331 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Naples & Sicily (as the Two Sicilies). 10 Grana, 1859. Ferdinando II. PCGS MS-63. Deep cabinet tone graces the surfaces of the this Choice example." This type was struck in Naples in 1835-39, not in 1859. The superseding ten grana with a bearded head of the king (KM 328) was struck 1838-48 and has a slightly higher price.
