This specimen was lot 72391 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $110. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Two Sicilies. 10 Tornesi, 1836. Naples Mint. Ferdinando II. PCGS Genuine--Rim Damage, VF Details Gold Shield. Moderate wear is present on this chocolate brown piece possessing some contact marks and edge bumps to account for the details designation. An alluring deep blue patina is present in certain areas, and it remains a wholesome example despite its shortcomings. An issue that is RARELY offered, and assuredly one in which serious Italian collectors are sure to show significant interest." This type was struck 1831-39 and this is a scarce date.
