This specimen was lot 2771 in Stephen Album sale 45 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "NAPLES & SICILY: Ferdinando II, 1830-1859, AR 20 grana, 1835, a lovely mint state example! PCGS graded MS63, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." The Kingdom of the Two Sicilies was annexed to Italy in 1860 but remains poor, backward and corrupt. The twenty grana was one-sixth of a piastra. This type was struck 1831-38.
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce in nice condition.
Specification: 4.59 g, 0.833 fine silver, 21.5 mm diameter.
