This specimen was lot 2180 in Goldberg sale 112 (Los Angeles, September 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Italian States: Naples. ½ Carlino, 1759-IA/CCR. Carlo. Bust right. A lovely originally toned example. NGC graded EF-45." It was offered again as lot 1693 in Goldberg sale 116 (Los Angeles, June 2020), where it sold for $90. The mezzo carlino was equal to five grana and was the smallest silver denomination. This version was struck 1755-59 and is the last of the denomination.

Specification: 1.10 g, 0.900 fine silver, 16 mm diameter.
