This specimen was lot 21248 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Naples & Sicily. 6 Ducati, 1753 DG-MM-R. Charles. NGC MS-63+. None graded finer at NGC. A well struck example of the type with good luster and medium golden toning, not often seen in this state of preservation and sure to interest the specialist. From the Collection of Dr. James Eustace Bizzell, II." This type was struck 1749-55. Two (KM 151) and four ducati (KM 152) were also emitted using this design.
