This specimen was lot 1974 in Jean Elsen sale 162 (Brussels, June 2025), where it sold for €1,100 (about US$1,525 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIE, NAPLES, Charles III de Bourbon (1734-1759), AV 6 ducati, 1752 MM. D/ B. dr. à d. R/ Écu orné et couronné. (Italy, kingdom of Naples, Charles III of Bourbon, 1734-59, gold six ducati of 1752. Obverse: draped bust right; reverse: crowned ornate arms. Very Fine - Extremely Fine.)"
This type was struck 1749-55. Two (KM 151) and four ducati (KM 152) were also emitted using this design. Despite the six ducati denomination, it is not a true six ducat coin, having only enough gold for about two and a half ducats.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
