This specimen was lot 42364 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $12,000. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Mughal Empire. Mohur, AH 987 (1579/80). Ahmadabad Mint. Akbar (the Great). NGC MS-66. A charming premium Gem example, with blazing luster, exceptional details, and essentially no faults. For Indian collectors seeking a premium example, it would be hard to surpass this one." This mint is listed for AH 982-987.
